Don’t be a Jerk Policy

This “Don’t be a jerk” policy is a shortened, more casual version of the longer Code of Conduct policy. Read full version.

GDG Thessaloniki pride on being open, respectful, and an inclusive community. That means jerky behavior isn’t allowed at GDG meetings or events. Because we know that it’s not obvious to everyone, here’s a reminder of the things we don’t allow: jokes or offensive comments about sex/sexuality/race/religion/nationality/body size, showing porn in public, touching people uninvited, or continuing to interact with someone after they’ve asked you to stop. Continuous jerky behavior may result in getting expelled from the meeting or GDG Chapter.

If someone is bothering you, please tell GDG Organizers immediately and they will take care of it. We want to maintain GDG DevFest’s awesomeness.

GENERAL F.A.Q.s

I have followed a CodeLab at DevFest, will I get a certificate?

Participants of the following CodeLabs will get a certificate:

  • Android Fundamental | Cruising Android Maps
  • Google Cloud | Compute Engine
  • Design Sprint (only who participated to the 2 Parts
  • Web Dev | Polymer session
  • Unity | Unity3D

Is there anything I should do in order to get the certificate? How does it work

Certificates will be sent individually to all of you registered throughout eventbrite and checked in the day of the workshop. As well for all the people that registered onsite for the Codelabs and checked in, will be granted the certificate

You do not need to do anything at this moment, GDG Team is preparing all the certificates and will send you an email with a link to yours individually

Certificates will have the name as you registered for the Codelab, no changes can be done.

Till when I will be able to obtain the certificate?

Certificates will be available online for 30 days since you receive the email with the link. After this period certificates will no longer be available and you will loose your chance to get one

I have participated to DevFest, does it mean that I am a member of GDG Thessaloniki?

By participating to a single event doesn’t imply you are a GDG Thessaloniki member. If you want to join our community, you can fill up this form and we will get back to you.

Have you already filled out the form, but we didn’t get in touch with you? No worries, send us an email and we will arrange for a meetup to get to know each other better
